Fenerbahce’s New Man: Victor Moses
Former Nigerian International midfielder and Chelsea winger Victor Moses was amazed by Fenerbahce fans after making his debut in their 3-2 win over Yeni Malatyaspor in a Turkish Super Lig fixture. Antonio Conte, the former head coach was a really good fan of Moses as he was so useful in his tactics on the pitch with the 3-4-3/3-5-2 formation. Moses was a regular starter in the Chelsea side that won the 2016/2017 premier league title, and 2017/2018 FA cup trophy. He helped the team by playing his own part and was looked over ever since the arrival of the new manager Mauricio Sarri.
His place in the team has been taken over by the Blues captain, Cesar Azpilicueta which made Moses hungrier for games thereby requesting for a loan move to the Turkish side.
The 28 year old was introduced at the 66th minute on Friday in the encounter that saw the Yellow Canaries grab their fourth league win of the season. He replaced Algeria’s Yassine Benzia as Mehmet Ekici’s brace and Mehmet Topal’s effort guided the hosts to victory in a five-goal thriller.
The enthusiastic winger was thrilled to see the atmosphere created by the club’s amazing’ supporters. This kind of ecstasy usually have a positive effect on a player. When you play for a team that really appreciates you, there is no limit to what you would do to make them more ecstatic.
With such enthusiasm, let’s see if the loan spell in Turkey will be a memorable one for the Nigerian.
